Tia is our newest associate.

Tia McCalla was born and raised in inner-city Toronto. Her life experiences made her passionate about social justice and protecting individuals’ rights. Tia graduated with Distinction from the University of Toronto in 2017, with an Honours B.A. in Criminology, Sociology and Philosophy. After working for one year, she attended law school at the University of Windsor, graduating in 2021.

While at Windsor Law, Tia interned at the Ontario Court of Justice for His Honour Justice Dean. As an intern, she developed her knowledge of criminal procedure which helps her advocate for individuals experiencing social injustice. Tia also completed internships at Justice for Children and Youth, as well as the Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodations.

Tia articled under the supervision of I. Loui Dallas, the founder and principal of Dallas Criminal Defence. She has remained at the firm since being called to the bar in June of 2022. During her time at the firm, Tia has helped defend on several complex criminal cases including assault, sexual assault, drug trafficking, and attempted murder.
